# What are the floor rules?

The floor works because people are honest and nobody's selling anything. These are the rules everyone agrees to by joining.

## The rules

1. **Respect people.** Roast the trade, not the trader. No harassment, hate or personal attacks.
2. **No selling.** No signal groups, courses, affiliate links, referral codes or "DM me" offers.
3. **No financial advice.** Share what you're doing and why. Don't tell anyone what they should do with their money.
4. **Keep it honest.** Post your losses as well as your wins. Fake screenshots get you removed.
5. **Use the right channel.** Futures talk in futures, memes in memes, blow-ups in #crash-outs.
6. **No spam or self-promotion.** That includes mass-tagging, repeat posts and unsolicited DMs.
7. **Follow Discord's rules.** Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines apply too.

## What happens if someone breaks them?

Moderators may delete messages, mute or remove members, depending on what happened. Selling, scams and harassment usually mean removal on the first offence.
